IT industry leaders, professional gamers and startuppers to speak at Youth RIGF
The full list of speakers for the Second Youth Forum on Internet Governance (Youth RIGF 2022) is now available. There's just over two weeks to go before the Forum, which will be held on May 13, 2022, in the Digital Business Space in Moscow. The list of event attendees will include government officials, scientific workers, and IT business personalities as well as famous esports professional gamers and developers.

Participants of the "Captured by the World Wide Web: Content and Algorithms" section will discuss the development of domestic social networks, features and techniques of recommendation systems, and the fight against destructive content and fake news. Deputy of the State Duma Anton Gorelkin, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Media Alexander Moiseev, General Director of the Znanie Society Maxim Dreval, General Producer of Rutube David Kocharov, and Head of the Department for the Development of Media Technologies of ANO Dialogue Regions Pavel Zakharov will speak on the above-mentioned topics. General Director of ANO Internet Development Institute Alexey Goreslavsky will moderate the discussion.

The future of esports and the development of the gaming industry amid sanctions and pressure exerted on Russian esports personalities will be discussed during the "eSports 'Epidemic': World Growth of the Gaming Industry" section. President of the Russian eSports Federation Dmitry Smith, ESforce Holding CEO Nikolay Petrossian, General Manager of the Virtus.pro esports organization Sergey Glamazda, Commercial Director at ESforce Holding Sergey Barkhudarian, and Strategic Development Director at VK Play Artem Chermenin are invited to speak during the section. Chief Strategic Communications Officer at ESforce Holding and expert on digital technologies in sports in the Council of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Yaroslav Meshalkin will moderate the discussion.

Participants of the "'We All Live in the Matrix': the Future of the Metaverses" section will discuss the development of virtual worlds and their impact on the global economy as well as the future of VR and AR technologies. Head of the VKontakte external promotion team Vyacheslav Prokhorov, Head of the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at the HSE University Vasily Klucharev, Managing Director of AI Governance Center at Sberbank PJSC Andrey Neznamov, Andrey Kuleshov, an analyst of the Center for AI Science and Technology at the MIPT, and Elena Khlapina, CEO at Immergity—a company specializing in VR and AR technologies—will be the keynote speakers of the section. Deputy General Director of MD Information Systems and professor at the MIPT Konstantin Shurunov will moderate the discussion.

The "Choose a Career from a Young Age: New Demands of the Old Labour Market" section is dedicated to the trending topic of Russia's IT workforce training aimed at dynamic labour market transformation. Director of ANO Competence Centre for the Import Substitution of Information and Communication Technologies Ilya Massukh, Rector of University of National Technology Initiative 2035 Nina Yanikina, Head of Corporate Training at Skillbox Alexey Kutashev, Head of the Department of Digital economy and AI at MGIMO Anna Abramova, and Uniweb Development Director Elena Rodionova will discuss professions of the future and youth job prospects of the IT industry. Government Relations Director of Baring Vostok Marina Amelina will moderate the career track.

In between the sections, participants of the Forum will be invited to join two master classes. One of them will be hosted by the Youth Digital Ombudsman Dmitry Gulyaev, who was elected at Youth RIGF last year. He will speak on the ways to detect and, more importantly, fight fake news on the Internet. The second master class will be dedicated to promoting information and communications technology careers among women. Female experts in the field will share their experiences and explore the opportunities that arise from stimulating women's interest in technology careers. Director of the ITU Regional Office for CIS Natalia Mochu, Platform & Vendor Relations Department Lead at VK Varvara Yaffa, Chairperson of the Alliance for Digital Protection of Children Elizaveta Belyakova, Victoria Zholtikova, a member of the CIS Youth Council at ITU, as well as Founder and Chairperson of Board of Directors of Global Rus Trade Anna Nesterova will participate in the discussion.

According to the Forum's organizer and Director of the Center for Global IT Cooperation Vadim Glushchenko, the event will serve as some sort of a bridge between the youth and the expert community. "We see that there is an increasing interest among young people in IT and how the Internet works. As usual, the Forum's program and discussion topics aim at addressing the issues raised by the youth. We will make sure that participants of the Forum receive detailed answers from recognized experts and get inspired by interesting discussions both online and offline," added Vadim Glushchenko.
