Various exciting developments in information and communications technology will be presented at the Second Youth Internet Governance Forum (Youth RIGF 2022).
Each participant of the Forum will be able to try their hand at engineering and build a radio receiver together with Alexander Popov, a physicist and electrical engineer who invented the device. How so? The VR simulation created by MTUCI students allows one to travel to the past, meet the legendary scientist and, more importantly, look at his invention. Using the VR headset, of course.
This experiment will be followed by a short coffee break. A robot barista will be the one in charge of making the beverage. Participants of the Forum will be offered four standard options to choose from: espresso, Americano, cappuccino, and latte. A collaborative robot by Rozum Robotics will mix original alcohol-free cocktails and attend those who prefer cold beverages. However, there's always safety requirements, which is why a disinfection robot developed by Sber will carry out UV disinfection of the air and surfaces in autonomous mode. It takes the robot 2 to 3 minutes to disinfect a 15-square-meter room. The food will be served by another Sber robot, the delivery robot. Working inside an office, it can also deliver documents and numerous other items, as well as tools, details, and drawings of manufacturing facilities.
The stand of TASS, the Forum's media partner and one of the oldest and largest news agencies not only in Russia but worldwide, will provide participants with information on its vacancies. Journalism is now undergoing digital transformation too, which means that IT experts are in demand in fields that seemingly belong to the humanities as well.
The esports area will allow the Forum's participants the opportunity to play CS:GO, Valorant, Rocket League, Dota 2, PUBG Duo, and Hearthstone. Gaming experts and professional esports players will be willing to answer the most tantalizing questions of the area's visitors and help newcomers navigate the gaming world. Speaking of the online format, the Forum's attendees will be able to compete in the Hearthstone esports tournament and win special prizes.
The Just Dance gaming area, where everyone can participate in a dance contest together with their friends, will be available for the most active event attendees.
You can register for the Second Youth Internet Governance Forum, which will take place on May 13 at the Digital Business Space in Moscow, until May 10 on the event website:
