RESULTS OF YOUTH RIGF-2024 ARE PRESENTED
Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, emphasized in his welcoming address to the participants that Russia is facing large-scale technological tasks and challenges, and, of course, their fulfillment is impossible without active digitalization of various spheres and participation of the new generation in shaping the country's digital future. "Talented young people today need big, interesting, breakthrough projects, and we have something to offer you. I wish all participants of the Forum fruitful work, interesting discussions, new useful acquaintances and, most importantly, promising ideas for the benefit of our country," he concluded.

The opening of the Youth RIGF 2024 also included the awarding of the winners of the second award of the Alliance for Child Protection in the Digital Environment - "For Safe Digital Childhood". They received commemorative prizes from Alliance member companies - nine technology, digital and media companies in Russia.

The business program of the Forum was quite rich. The "Cyberbrainy: Education in the Era of AI" session was dedicated to the introduction of generative technologies in the educational process and the impact of AI on next-generation learning. Whether cybersecurity will become an integral part in the literal sense of human existence due to the introduction of neurocomputer interface was discussed at the "Internet of Our Bodies: the Future of Technology" session. The topic of the inevitable changes in the labor market and solving the problem of staff shortage through technology was raised during the "New Personnel Will Be Key: Automation and Robotization" discussion. And the "It's Hard to Be Human: Society of the Digital Age" session touched upon aspects of the Internet's influence on our perception of reality.

The final part of the Youth RIGF 2024 business program was the "How to Build a Successful IT Business: Young Entrepreneurs' Experience" session, organized with the support of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications and the .RU/.RF Coordination Center. Young IT-businessmen shared their experience with the participants, and also inspired some of them on the difficult and thorny, but very interesting path of opening their innovative business for the benefit of Runet development.

"Thanks to the Forum, every year we are convinced of the huge, and most importantly - growing - interest of the younger generation in the issues of Internet and digital development. Our participants are actively involved in the discussion of new ideas and strive to contribute to the creation of an innovative digital environment to improve the quality of life in Russia. This is very inspiring and motivates us for other projects that promote the involvement of young people in the decision-making process for the development of the IT industry in our country," Vadim Glushchenko, Director of the Center for Global IT Cooperation, said.

Youth RIGF 2024 was a truly international event as representatives from 11 countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Serbia, Uganda, the Philippines and Nigeria - announced the launch of the Friends for Internet community in collaboration with Friends for Leadership, a network of next-generation leaders and entrepreneurs. The participants are going to become the voice of the Global South on Internet governance issues, and make the global majority voice louder in the global decision-making process, as well as promote the dissemination of best practices and projects of participants to achieve the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The organizers and participants expressed their desire to hold the Forum annually in order to meet again and provide an opportunity for dialogue and discussion of new ideas and implementation of projects for young people from Russia and around the world.
