Peter Kimpian
Data Protection Unit, Council of Europe
Peter is working at the Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe and is in charge with law enforcement and national security related privacy matters, with internet governance issues and with the implementation of the Global data protection Convention 108+.

Working as international privacy and data protection expert for the last 8 years Peter has been previously involved in topics like EU PNR Agreements with third states, EU PNR Directive, EU-US TFTP Agreement, EU regulation on drones and the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement.

He has also been active recently in technical assistance programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin-America aiming at delivering modern and robust privacy legislation and policies for partner countries.
