The Youth RIGF forum already has the first «thousand» participants registered
The number of participants in the First Youth Internet Governance Forum has reached 1,000. Most of those registered are Russian university students from many regions of the country. The Youth RIGF will represent a variety of Russian cities: from Moscow, the host city of the Forum, to Vladivostok. In terms of the number of applications, Moscow, Perm, Vologda, Magnitogorsk, Kaluga, Rostov-on-Don, Neftekamsk and Tula are the leaders. Despite the fact that many young people registered from the Altai and Khabarovsk regions, the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts are less actively represented overall.

If we consider the universities themselves, there are also interesting statistics. In addition to students from engineering universities, such as Bauman Moscow State Technical University, MTUSI, MIFI, MIPT and Skoltech, the Forum will also see a fair number of students from the universities in the humanities - Plekhanov Russian Economics University, MGLU, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy, Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and MGIMO. This is evidence that the subject of Internet governance is of interest to all young people, regardless of their specialization and field of study, and is not exclusively a technical field.

Students from St. Petersburg State University, Tolstoy Tomsk State Pedagogical University, the Neftekamsk branch of Bashkir State University, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, Altai State University and many other regional universities are also actively registering for the Forum. To date, more than 550 applications have already been submitted.

All sessions of the Forum are to be translated into English in order to reach foreign audiences. The organizers of the Forum are interested in the widest possible participation of foreign young people - IT professionals and humanitarians of all specializations'. Also, representatives of international organizations and professional communities are welcome to register at the Forum.

From 23 March to 5 April, registration will continue on the website for online participation only: http://youth.rigf.ru/. All interested students from foreign and Russian universities are invited to fill in the application form and join the Forum participants on 6 April.
